Sorry for the light posting of late. We're not long back from a week's holiday in Dumfries and Galloway in southern Scotland. We had a really enjoyable break up north, renting a house with my in-laws and falling really "out of pocket". No Internet, little television (of course the Pope's funeral) and lots of good craic. I especially enjoyed the evenings around the dinner table. We took turns preparing the evening meal, and after everyone going their separate ways during the day (hill walks, riding, golf, sightseeing), we would all come together in the evening for dinner, music and parlour games (scrabble, crosswords). Brilliant fun, and wondeful to completely switch off for a few days.
I've got some travel on the cards for the weeks ahead, but it may not materialise. I hope to get back to writing with a little more frequency soon.
